If you are blogger you know the importance of pillar contents. No blog can exist without articles. More than 7000 blog post is been published on a daily basis on different blogging platform like word-press,blogger,typad and traditional websites.
We have 2 types of contents.
1. Original and copied contents; depending on how you generate your co0ntent but i must say that fresh original contents is the best for search engine.
2. You don't really need to copy contents from other blogs. Just write unique and insightful post on your blog. If writing is your hobby, you will not find this difficult. All you need to do is sit and write. You should be able to write 800-1000 worded post every morning before leaving for other activities.

Generating content ideas is not as difficult as you think.All you need do is visit authority blogs in your niche and keep studying their post and comments to get an idea of a perfect blog post. This will give you some new concepts and ideas into those topics and that is a good starting point for you. If you get your first idea, then you go ahead and research more on the topic and create your own unique contents. You can also visit yahoo answers,forums and other social sites to see what people are really talking about. You can generate your post from those ideas
Quality or quantity?
Almost all pillar contents i have come across are large and of great quality. We have few exceptions where we have short link baited contents like 300-500 worded post.which ever way, content is the blood of your blog and you you should not leave your blog without fresh original and educative post.
How to create pillar contents in 60 minutes
First you need to be discipline to really sit and write your post. Make up your mind and settle only for the best. i advice you read my post on how to overcome procrastination in your blogging business so you can have an understanding of how passion will help you excel not just in blogging but in your entire life

--- Write down your headlines and add keywords
--- Brain storm core points and subtitles and put them down

Focus on writing without stopping; in the way you will see that you have written more than you can imagine. You have whole time in the world to correct and edit your post.. So just continue writing until your time is up.
I wrote this post under 40 minutes and after counting it i discovered it was 1,245 worded post. And i know i can do more if i make up my mind to do it.
In conclusion; i advice that you write pillar contents always at least twice a week and regular post on a daily basis. Write your title, subtitles and start filling them up. Remember your post should have an introduction,body and conclusion
When writing, don't just start typing on your computer. Constructively Write your post down before typing..
